This role focuses on building secure AI agents that operate behind the corporate firewall, addressing the challenge of integrating internal databases, APIs, and legacy systems with LLM stacks without lengthy integration cycles. The goal is to create an agent framework that connects securely to these internal resources, a task-orchestration layer for multi-step actions, and an authentication/access-control layer that respects existing enterprise identity systems and permissions. A monitoring and audit system will also be developed to record agent actions for compliance and debugging.
Responsibilities
- Own the build across agent architecture, connectors, orchestration, access control, auditability, and deployment.
- Design for constrained network environments with deliberate tradeoffs for latency and data movement.
- Build the natural-language task layer and connectors for enterprise workflows.
- Implement security primitives like credential isolation, least-privilege execution, action sandboxing, approval gates, and rollback.
- Work with the AI Fund build team and enterprise users to validate the solution against real internal tooling pain points.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering ability in production systems, enterprise integrations, databases, APIs, authentication, and networking.
- Demonstrated experience building GenAI systems with agentic architectures, tool use, function calling, evals, and guardrails.
- Experience designing systems where security, identity, permissions, auditability, and reliability are product requirements.
- Product judgment for determining which enterprise actions can be automated versus requiring human approval.
- Proficiency in using AI coding assistants and modern AI tools to accelerate implementation.
- US work authorization.
