Lambda, a leader in AI cloud infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to join their growing team. This role is crucial in enabling customers to achieve their business goals with AI infrastructure by partnering with leading AI researchers and enterprise engineering teams. The ideal candidate will design, scale, and optimize high-performance GPU cloud solutions, turning complex compute challenges into seamless, production-ready AI infrastructure. This position requires a customer-first mindset and technical mastery to drive growth and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical sales and executive influence by partnering with Account Executives on complex deals.
- Build trusted relationships with technical leaders at client organizations.
- Evaluate customer architectural needs and design end-to-end GPU cloud solutions.
- Author comprehensive proposals, architecture diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Lead hands-on proof-of-concept (PoC) activities and benchmarking for customers.
- Design and deliver technical PoCs and custom prototypes to showcase Lambda's capabilities.
- Run benchmark evaluations for training and inference workloads to demonstrate performance and cost advantages.
- Architect and optimize AI/ML workloads, guiding enterprise teams on their AI lifecycle.
- Provide architectural guidance on high-performance networking, distributed storage, and cluster topologies.
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer internally, funneling feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
- Create field enablement assets, technical whitepapers, and architectural blueprints.
- Lead technical workshops for prospective clients and partners.
- Represent Lambda as a subject matter expert at industry events.
- Contribute positively to the organization and reinforce Lambda's culture.
- Maintain agility, responsiveness, and a hyper-focus on customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven track record deploying, benchmarking, and optimizing workloads on NVIDIA GPU architectures using deep learning frameworks and inference engines.
- 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and scaling enterprise cloud infrastructure.
- 4+ years in a Solution Architect, Solution Engineer, or technical customer-facing role.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting and deploying cloud-based AI/ML workloads.
- Strong experience with modern infrastructure orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, SLURM, Terraform, Ansible).
- Deep knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including high-speed interconnects, distributed file systems, security, and cost optimization.
- Experience coding in Python, Go, C/C++ (CUDA) or similar programming languages.
- Experience partnering with Account Executives to close complex cloud deals and present technical architectures to C-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated impact at an organizational/multi-departmental level and effectiveness mentoring junior SEs or architects.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic settings and embrace radical ownership.
