About the job

Lambda is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the hardware product lifecycle for their AI cloud infrastructure. This role is critical in deciding which GPU platforms, node configurations, and cluster options Lambda offers to its customers. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, collaborating with external partners like NVIDIA and ODMs, as well as internal teams including data center, supply chain, and infrastructure engineering. Your responsibilities will include translating customer demand and benchmark data into strategic fleet investment recommendations, defining product roadmaps, and ensuring the successful launch and iteration of hardware products. The ideal candidate possesses strong product management skills, a deep understanding of technical infrastructure and hardware, and the ability to drive decisions through insight, influence, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and define the hardware roadmap, including GPU platforms, configurations, and next-generation NVIDIA systems.
  • Lead end-to-end new NVIDIA platform introductions from roadmap alignment to general availability.
  • Translate customer demand signals and benchmark data into fleet investment recommendations.
  • Specify node configurations and InfiniBand fabric options for large-scale GPU clusters.
  • Align product plans with NVIDIA and ODM partners' silicon and systems roadmaps.
  • Convert silicon roadmaps into sellable SKUs with clear positioning and launch plans.
  • Drive adoption of roadmaps through clear communication and data-driven arguments.
  • Launch new hardware products, define success metrics, and iterate based on data.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience in technical infrastructure, hardware, systems, or platform products.
  • Ability to translate data and customer signals into clear product decisions.
  • Proven track record of influencing engineers, executives, and external partners to adopt plans.
  • Experience shipping products requiring coordination across hardware, software, and operations teams against deadlines.
  • Fluent in technical conversations regarding GPU architectures, interconnects, memory, and data center constraints.
  • Experience making hardware or fleet investment recommendations under uncertainty.
  • Ability to write concise, evidence-based documents.
  • Skill in defining iterative plans to achieve desired outcomes.
