Senior/Staff AI Research Engineer

Hume AI is seeking talented researchers and engineers to join our AI research team in building state-of-the-art speech-language models (SLMs). Our novel SLM training method, reinforcement learning from human expression (RLHE), leverages human preferences from millions of audio and video recordings to create SLMs that are exceptionally helpful, interesting, funny, eloquent, honest, and altruistic. This role involves building software systems for distributed model training, inference, and benchmarking, alongside large-scale data collection, storage, preprocessing, and analysis. You will tackle significant AI research challenges at an industry scale, contributing to our mission of ensuring AI is guided by human values.
