Within is seeking an AI Front-end Engineer who excels at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering. As an engineer first with exceptional design sensibility, you will define and implement the "look and feel" of AI-native workflows, ensuring our complex enterprise tools are as intuitive as consumer apps. We value your portfolio and track record of shipping over formal degrees.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable front-end systems, including reusable component libraries, state management, API integration, and performance optimization.
- Own and ship primary user-facing features, building core interfaces, React components, and integrating with backend APIs.
- Bridge AI capabilities with elegant user experiences by creating interfaces that expose powerful functionality while hiding technical complexity.
- Multiply impact across disciplines by using AI tools to prototype design concepts in code and bridge gaps between teams with working demos.
Requirements
- 4+ years of shipping production-grade products.
- Expertise in modern web technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
- Proficiency in using AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0.dev, and Lovable for rapid prototyping.
- Ability to drive outcomes with product thinking and own features end-to-end.
- Experience with Python backends is a plus.
