Hex is seeking senior and staff-level fullstack engineers to join their team building leading Magic AI features. This role focuses on developing powerful, integrated AI features that augment and accelerate analytics workflows, with the goal of reinventing how people understand data. You will lead the development of AI-powered features, partner with the Research team on context and model prompting, and integrate these into the Hex platform. As part of the Agent Platform team, you will own the scalable agent infrastructure and cutting-edge experimentation tooling that enables rapid delivery of new AI features.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of AI-powered features into Hex.
- Partner with the Research team on context and model prompting.
- Integrate AI features into the Hex platform with product engineering teams.
- Own the scalable agent infrastructure powering data agents.
- Develop cutting-edge experimentation tooling for rapid AI feature delivery.
- Develop high-quality and performant user experiences by diving deep into browser functionality.
- Develop high-quality internal developer and external user experiences by understanding web infrastructure.
- Maintain a high quality bar for design, correctness, and testing.
- Lead product initiatives while collaborating and mentoring fellow engineers.
- Contribute to the bigger picture of building a company, including go-to-market, customer development, people, and marketing.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with React and Typescript.
- Knowledge of architecture and systems design.
- Experience leading and executing on major product initiatives.
- Aptitude for how web infrastructure works.
- Strategic thinking aligned with business and product goals.
- Interest in the data space and building tools that empower end users.
- Curiosity and interest in company building aspects.
