About the job
Hebbia is seeking an Integrations Engineer to own the full lifecycle of integrations that power its AI platform. This role involves designing, deploying, monitoring, and debugging data pipelines that bring customer data from various enterprise systems into Hebbia's platform. You will work with complex, real-world data environments, building resilient, production-grade systems that handle unreliable APIs, evolving schemas, and massive datasets. This is a hands-on, high-ownership, and deeply technical position where you will develop expertise in distributed systems, data pipelines, and large-scale debugging, gaining exposure to real production systems with immediate customer impact.
Responsibilities
- Build connectors and ingestion pipelines for enterprise data into Hebbia's AI platform.
- Design and operate pipelines that handle scale, failures, and edge cases.
- Debug issues across APIs, auth systems, and data formats under real-time pressure.
- Own end-to-end reliability including monitoring, alerting, on-call, and incident response.
- Improve internal tooling and observability for system robustness.
- Partner with product and customer teams to scope and ship integrations.
- Design and ship agents to make enterprise data accessible across Hebbia's product surfaces.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of software engineering experience, ideally at a startup or high-growth company.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building backend services and APIs.
- Direct experience building or maintaining integrations with third-party APIs, including understanding OAuth flows, webhook patterns, rate limiting, and pagination.
- Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and tools like Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, or ElasticSearch.
- Operational mindset with experience owning systems in production and prioritizing reliability.
- Strong debugging instincts to trace data issues to root cause.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Autonomous and self-directed work style.
