Halluminate is a data research lab focused on building benchmarks and RL environments to advance AI in knowledge work, initially targeting financial services and consulting workflows. This role will lead our in-house research and post-training initiatives, contributing to both core platform engineering and the development of our engineering team culture.
Responsibilities
- Train open-source frontier models on in-house environments to validate quality and generate research insights.
- Lead public-facing benchmark and leaderboard efforts for frontier models.
- Publish research findings in blogs and papers for the broader community.
- Contribute to core platform engineering, including AI tooling, data collection pipelines, and collaboration with environment and reward designers.
- Help build the engineering team culture from the ground up.
Requirements
- Experience in model post-training.
- Experience publishing papers and sharing open research.
- Familiarity with building evaluations, benchmarks, or RL for AI agents.
- Ability to iterate, ask questions, and respond quickly in a startup environment.
- Strong product and user ownership.
- Comfort with client-facing interactions, including speaking with users, customers, and SMEs.
