About the job
Glean is seeking a Tech Lead for its Admin Console team to engineer a critical product surface that enables customers to deploy, govern, and scale Glean across their organizations. This full-stack role involves guiding architecture, collaborating with product and design, and growing a strategically important team. The Admin Console serves as the control plane for enterprise activation, admin confidence, and scalable rollout, allowing admins to configure authentication, data sources, permissions, governance, AI features, and deployment health from a central hub. As Glean transitions into an AI platform, this team's mission is expanding to manage not just data sources, but also the broader context layer of the system, including actions, live data, governance, and AI configuration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team, providing strong technical direction.
- Own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows such as data source setup, security configuration, deployment management, and feature rollout controls.
- Partner closely with Product and Design to simplify complex enterprise workflows and enhance the intuitiveness and scalability of the admin experience.
- Evolve the Admin Console from a system focused on crawlers and data setup to a comprehensive control plane for enterprise context, actions, governance, and AI capability management.
- Improve self-serve activation to enable faster organization setup with reduced reliance on human support.
- Enhance visibility into crawl health, connector status, indexing progress, permissions, and rollout readiness for confident deployment understanding.
- Build systems and workflows that empower admins to safely manage their Glean deployments.
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams and owning technical direction.
- Proficiency in full-stack engineering.
- Ability to guide architecture and drive execution.
- Strong collaboration skills with product and design teams.
- Experience simplifying complex workflows and improving user experience.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, security configuration, and deployment management.
- Understanding of AI capabilities and governance.
