Glean is seeking a Software Engineer intern to join their team for Summer 2027. This role involves participating in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that power Glean's Work AI platform. Interns will own a high-impact project from conception to measurement, ship production-quality code, and contribute across various parts of the stack based on their interests, including backend services, product engineering, ML/AI/search, and infrastructure. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and contributing to a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own a scoped, high-impact project end-to-end, including problem definition, design, building, testing, launching, and measuring outcomes.
- Ship production-quality code that is reliable, well-tested, and maintainable, participating in code reviews and iterative feedback.
- Learn quickly and contribute across the stack based on interests, such as backend services, product engineering, ML/AI/search, or infrastructure.
- Work closely with team members and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent program.
- Possess a team player attitude, a strong desire to learn, and an owner mentality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Interest in backend, infrastructure, security, UI/full-stack, or ML/NLP/search.
- Prior internship experience in relevant areas.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and software development fundamentals.
