Glean is seeking a Cloud Deployment Software Engineer to join their Platform Infrastructure team. This role focuses on customer setup and deployment, particularly within complex cloud, hosting, and security environments. The engineer will be instrumental in building systems that bootstrap cloud accounts and projects, manage authentication, and transform deployment workflows into reliable, repeatable productized experiences for customers. This position is ideal for a backend engineer with a passion for cloud infrastructure, networking, infrastructure as code, and solving real-world deployment challenges through elegant software abstractions.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems for automating customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
- Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure as code templates to mirror customer environments and minimize manual setup.
- Enhance support for complex deployment scenarios such as BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
- Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
- Collaborate with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to expedite, secure, and simplify deployments.
- Increase the quality, reliability, and coverage of AWS and GCP deployment tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
