About the job
Glean is seeking a Software Engineer to help build a scalable software-based platform, including enterprise search solutions. You will work across distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces to deliver secure, high-quality products that meet customer needs. This role involves building large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems and implementing data ingestion pipelines to create secure search indexes. You will also design and implement user interfaces for enterprise content search and APIs for related applications.
Responsibilities
- Build large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems, including performance benchmarking and tuning on Linux.
- Conduct thorough code reviews for peers, focusing on interface design, quality, and testing.
- Understand and implement customer requirements into the solution.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure features meet customer needs and are delivered with high quality.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines to retrieve data from enterprise sources and build secure search indexes using C++, Java, Python, or Go.
- Design and implement user interfaces for enterprise search and APIs for search-based applications.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
- Experience building full-stack applications (front-end, REST APIs, application server).
- Experience training and productionizing machine learning or information retrieval systems.
- Experience with C++.
