Glean is seeking a Software Engineer to help build a scalable software-based platform, including enterprise search solutions. This role involves working across distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces to deliver secure, high-quality products. You will contribute to a Work AI ecosystem that powers intelligent search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents, leveraging a broad range of enterprise data and flexible LLM choices. The position offers the opportunity to shape how the world works by building systems used daily across major platforms and embedding agentic capabilities into an open, extensible stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications including front-end interfaces, REST APIs, and application servers.
- Build and optimize user-facing features using TypeScript and React.
- Develop server-side services and tooling using Node.js and Flask.
- Write and maintain backend systems and services in Java and C++.
- Perform data analytics and data visualization to inform product decisions and system performance.
- Apply algorithm design skills to solve complex engineering problems across distributed systems.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience working on infrastructure for distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
- Experience building full-stack applications spanning front-end, REST APIs, and application servers.
- Experience training and productionizing machine learning or information retrieval systems.
- Proficiency in Full-stack development.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with React.
- Experience with Data analytics and data visualization.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with Flask.
- Experience with Java.
