Glean is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development of its API platform, focusing on APIs, SDKs, and MCP strategy for developers within customer organizations and partner companies. This role is crucial for evolving Glean's Work AI ecosystem, which includes intelligent search, an AI assistant, and AI agents. The platform is designed to be secure, open, and extensible, offering over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors and flexible LLM choices. The product manager will be instrumental in shaping how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge through Glean's Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph, enabling AI agents to automate work across various business functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a deep understanding of developer needs, and a passion for building robust, scalable API and SDK solutions, while also collaborating with premier B2B product companies for partnership strategies.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and evolution of public APIs and SDKs, including versioning, deprecation, and backward-compatibility.
- Define the end-to-end developer experience, covering authentication, onboarding, error handling, rate limiting, and webhooks.
- Write code, build sample applications, and conduct integrations to identify and resolve rough edges before customer impact.
- Review and improve documentation from a developer's perspective, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze support tickets and forum discussions to identify recurring issues and address them as design defects.
- Establish and track key metrics such as time-to-first-call, integration success rate, and API error rates.
- Finalize API contracts and requirements before engineering begins development and manage scope creep.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in platform or API products.
- Strong technical background and a deep understanding of developer needs.
- Experience building robust, scalable API and SDK solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with B2B product companies on partnership strategies.
