Glean is seeking an experienced Product Design leader to build and manage our product design team, and to oversee the design of our Work AI platform. You will lead and mentor a diverse group of design managers, product designers, content designers, and user researchers to create the best possible end-user experience for Glean customers. This role involves facilitating cross-functional collaborations, identifying strategic opportunities for the design team, and working closely with leaders in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Science to establish a high bar for design execution and shape the future of our product.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of product designers, researchers, and content designers to achieve company goals and deliver high-quality products.
- Refine and lead design processes at Glean.
- Mentor and develop the skills and careers of the design team, establishing clear standards for performance and quality.
- Collaborate with leaders in Product and Engineering to ensure effective planning and metric achievement.
- Craft a compelling long-term design strategy and vision, and articulate the product vision through design.
- Build a thriving, collaborative, safe, and fun culture for the design team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience coaching and managing teams in Product Design, Content Design, UX Writing, or UX Research.
- Experience managing managers, preferably at a high-growth or later-stage B2B tech company.
- Experience working at companies with very high design standards.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and its impact on the future of work, design, and interaction patterns.
- Passion for AI applications and their potential.
