Glean is seeking a founding Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team and operate with the autonomy and accountability of a founder. In this role, you will discover and build Glean's next generation of product surfaces, working in a pod with Forward Deployed PMs directly with the C-suite of influential companies and Glean's engineering and product teams. This is a unique opportunity to identify and solve the biggest unsolved business problems at strategic customers by building entirely new products, shaping the future of Glean. The best of what you build will ship to every Glean customer globally, offering founder-level ownership with Glean's resources and scale.
Responsibilities
- Discover and build Glean's next product surfaces through 0-to-1 product creation.
- Identify opportunities where Glean's platform can solve new problems and design/ship solutions.
- Lead deep opportunity discovery by understanding business problems, value concentration, and buildable solutions.
- Form hypotheses and pressure-test them with stakeholders.
- Serve as a technical partner to customer C-suites, explaining technical concepts and risks.
- Scale successful products by working with the core R&D team to ensure scalability.
Requirements
- Experience in 0-to-1 product creation.
- Ability to conduct deep business and technical opportunity discovery.
- Strong communication skills to engage with C-suite executives.
- Experience in scaling products and working with R&D teams.
