About the job

Glean is seeking a Content Systems Engineer to take ownership of the documentation experience for its connectors, which are crucial integrations enabling Glean to securely access customer systems' knowledge. This role is designed for someone who can blend technical writing expertise with programming, information architecture, and advanced AI practices. You will be responsible for building scalable systems that detect changes, generate and validate content, identify risks, and ensure documentation remains accurate and up-to-date with the rapidly evolving product. This is an AI-first role where you will leverage AI to analyze inputs, generate and transform content, identify gaps, and support large-scale maintenance, while providing the necessary judgment, technical understanding, evaluation systems, and guardrails to ensure accurate and trustworthy results. The systems and practices you develop will also enhance the quality of Glean's broader documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end quality, organization, and maintenance of Glean’s connector documentation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how Glean’s connectors work, including their configuration, authentication, permissions, deployment, and troubleshooting requirements.
  • Build and maintain scripts, agents, and content pipelines that automate documentation creation, transformation, validation, and maintenance.
  • Design reusable AI workflows that combine appropriate models, tools, product context, instructions, and human review.
  • Create evaluations and guardrails for AI-generated and AI-maintained documentation, investigate failures, and improve the context, tools, prompts, and systems that shape output quality.
  • Build deterministic checks that detect stale, inconsistent, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation.
  • Establish an information architecture that helps technical administrators navigate complex documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical writing, programming, information architecture, and advanced AI practices.
  • Ability to build deterministic automation and agentic workflows.
  • Accountability for the quality of the customer experience, not just content production.
  • Proficiency in using AI to analyze complex inputs, generate and transform content, identify gaps, and support maintenance at scale.
  • Capability to provide judgment, technical understanding, evaluation systems, and guardrails for AI systems.
  • Experience in establishing systems and practices for documentation quality.
  • Understanding of connector configuration, authentication, permissions, deployment, and troubleshooting.
