Giga is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their San Francisco team. This role serves as the technical interface and project leader between Giga and its customers, responsible for building and deploying sophisticated AI-driven solutions at scale. The company has recently secured $61M in Series A funding and is working with Fortune 500 clients to implement next-generation AI agents for customer experience, handling complex support and operations workflows across voice, chat, and email in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagements from discovery to deployment and maintenance, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Design and ship production-ready AI agents, including backend coding, integrations, and cloud deployment.
- Manage the full agent development lifecycle, from prototyping and CI/CD setup to monitoring and iteration.
- Mentor agent engineers, debug live issues, and identify business opportunities to support customer growth.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to capture unmet needs and enhance the platform.
Requirements
- Experience with React, Python, tool calls, and APIs.
- Strong customer-facing experience and interpersonal skills.
- Computer science degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 4+ years of managerial experience.
- Experience in successful startups, with a preference for former founders.
- Ability to context switch rapidly and maintain a high bar for quality.
- Capacity for long productive hours and end-to-end project ownership with minimal guidance.
- 4+ years of customer-facing experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
