Giga is seeking backend engineers to build the infrastructure and systems powering their AI agents. You will work across the stack, from data pipelines and analytics to real-time agent systems, shipping features that directly impact customer operations. This role offers significant autonomy, allowing you to own problems end-to-end, from defining the approach to building and iterating. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to make sound technical decisions, ship reliably, and set the standard for code quality and system design.
Responsibilities
- Build the infrastructure and systems that power AI agents.
- Work across the stack, from data pipelines and analytics to real-time agent systems.
- Ship features that directly impact customer operations.
- Own problems end-to-end: figuring out the right approach, building it, and iterating.
- Make sound technical decisions, ship reliably, and help set the bar for code quality and system design.
- Migrate analytics services to ClickHouse and rebuild for scale.
- Improve hallucination detection systems.
- Scale, stabilize, and add features/accuracy to the browser use agent.
Requirements
- 4+ years building backend systems, ideally at companies where reliability and scale mattered.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: can take a loosely-defined problem and figure out what to build.
- Willingness to jump into unfamiliar parts of the codebase.
- Write clean code and care about getting the details right, but also know when to ship.
- Excited about AI agents and the infrastructure challenges of running them in production.
