FurtherAI is seeking an exceptional Staff Product Engineer to build the products that make AI agents indispensable for insurance professionals. This role involves developing the user-facing aspects of AI agents that perform real insurance tasks, including tools for creating, running, and supervising these agents, as well as interfaces for their outputs. You will ship features across the entire product surface, from agent authoring and chat assistants to human-in-the-loop supervision and multimodal experiences. This is an opportunity to own features end-to-end, from conception to deployment, working across both front-end (React/TypeScript) and back-end (Python) stacks, and to set the quality and taste bar for the product while mentoring others.
Responsibilities
- Build the product surface for AI agents performing insurance work.
- Develop tools for creating, running, and supervising AI agents.
- Create user experiences for AI agent outputs and actions.
- Ship features across agent authoring, chat assistants, human-in-the-loop supervision, and multimodal experiences.
- Own features end-to-end across the full stack (React/TypeScript front end, Python back end).
- Set the quality and taste bar for the product.
- Mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production full-stack software.
- Shipped real customer-facing features rapidly.
- Excellent full-stack development skills in modern front-end (React/TypeScript) and back-end (Python).
- Strong product/UX judgment and taste.
- Comfortable turning ambiguous ideas into shipped features.
- Clear communicator, both in person and in writing.
- Experience building LLM/agent features in production (bonus).
- Experience with B2B SaaS (bonus).
- Experience with 0→1 / early-stage product development (bonus).
- High drive, grit, and ownership.
