Scale AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, GenAI to join their Data Engine team. This role is at the forefront of providing critical data infrastructure that powers advanced AI models, directly influencing how humanity interacts with AI. You will work with the world's leading AI companies and government agencies to solve their most complex AI data-related problems, contributing to the advancement of AI by delivering critical data solutions for leading AI innovators and government agencies. You will interact daily with technical customers, understand their unique challenges, and translate them into impactful solutions, while also designing, building, and deploying features across the entire stack. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead critical projects, shape engineering culture, and accelerate career growth in the rapidly evolving field of Generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Deliver critical data solutions for leading AI innovators and government agencies.
- Interact daily with technical customers to understand challenges and translate them into solutions.
- Design, build, and deploy features across the entire stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure).
- Deliver high-quality experiments quickly and iterate to meet customer needs.
- Contribute to shaping engineering culture, values, and processes.
- Engage in designing and deploying cutting-edge data solutions, collaborating with AI researchers, and influencing the product roadmap.
- Lead critical projects and shape engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to translate business and product ideas into engineering solutions.
- Strong coding abilities and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
- Ability to adapt quickly to the generative AI landscape.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts (preferred).
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers (preferred).
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (preferred).
