Fireworks is seeking a Product Manager to focus on their core inference product and general platform. This role is central to enabling companies to build, train, and serve AI models tailored to their own data, workflows, and products. You will be responsible for setting strategy, writing product specifications, engaging directly with customers running production traffic, and collaborating across inference, infrastructure, and go-to-market teams to deliver significant customer impact. Example challenges include optimizing rate limits and preventing fraudulent usage while maintaining a smooth experience for legitimate users.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap, strategy, and success metrics for parts of the Fireworks inference and platform product, across API, UI, and CLI.
- Work directly with AI-native startups and enterprises running production inference, identifying and converting pain points into productized capabilities.
- Own the commercial and trust surfaces of the platform, including accounts, onboarding, quotas, rate limits, billing, and fraud/abuse prevention.
- Partner with product marketing, sales, and the field to launch platform capabilities such as pricing, packaging, documentation, cookbooks, and enablement.
Requirements
- 2-8+ years of product management experience building technical or developer-facing products.
- Strong technical background (CS/EE degree, production engineering experience, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the inference lifecycle, including model serving, latency/throughput tradeoffs, and cost implications in production.
- Demonstrated ownership of a product area from strategy through launch and metrics.
- Excellent written communication skills for specs, launch posts, and customer explanations.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for shipping and learning.
- High motivation and a willingness to step up, especially during demanding periods.
