Fireworks is seeking a Product Designer passionate about transforming complex AI infrastructure into intuitive developer experiences. This role involves owning the design process end-to-end, from model deployment to AI agent creation on the Fireworks platform. The focus is on simplifying powerful technologies, requiring close collaboration with engineers and PMs who have a deep understanding of systems. The ideal candidate will be excited about console UIs, API ergonomics, and enhancing the developer's journey to first inference.
Responsibilities
- Own design from concept to launch, including research, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and iteration.
- Translate complex AI infrastructure workflows (model deployment, inference monitoring, agent orchestration) into user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop and maintain the platform's design system, ensuring visual consistency and a scalable component library.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management teams on product decisions.
- Utilize AI-powered design tools to enhance personal workflow and productivity.
- Streamline the developer experience across the entire platform, from onboarding to production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in developer tools, cloud platforms, infrastructure products, or complex B2B systems.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and problem-solving in UX, beyond visual aesthetics.
- Expertise in Figma and proficiency with supporting tools like FigJam, Framer, or Principle.
- Startup experience with a track record of owning product areas and thriving in ambiguous environments.
- Genuine curiosity and engagement with AI, including personal use of LLMs and awareness of the AI landscape.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
