Fireworks is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join their People team and ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day people operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who desires breadth, with opportunities to contribute to HRIS, onboarding, contractor operations, immigration support, internal documentation, and employee recognition. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable to shifting priorities, and capable of self-direction to keep processes moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HRIS updates, including employee record maintenance and reporting line changes.
- Conduct regular internal data audits to ensure accuracy across HR systems.
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding logistics for new hires, including background checks and I-9 verifications.
- Manage the contractor lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Support immigration case processing by gathering documents and tracking case status.
- Maintain and update the internal HR wiki with current policies and processes.
- Administer the employee recognition program, including prize fulfillment and program visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Resourceful and self-directed, capable of problem-solving independently.
- Comfortable pivoting priorities and re-prioritizing tasks quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound judgment.
- Discretion and good judgment in handling confidential employee information.
