F2 is redefining the financial sector by integrating AI-driven efficiency into legacy workflows for institutional finance. As a leading vertical AI platform for private markets and commercial banking, F2 transforms unstructured deal materials into auditable, decision-ready insights. This role involves hands-on product building and technical leadership, contributing to the entire stack of F2's AI-driven enterprise analytics platform. You will collaborate closely with the founding team to architect, build, and ship features and services, from user interfaces to backend systems and AI workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and AI layers, writing production code and shipping systems.
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the application platform, ensuring rapid iteration and scalability.
- Design and operate systems for document processing, chat, and analytics, including workflow orchestration, streaming pipelines, vector search, and LLM inference.
- Ship features and services that meet SOC 2 requirements, including multi-tenant isolation, access control, audit logging, and encrypted data flows.
- Establish and uphold standards for code quality, testing, deployment, observability, and incident response.
- Mentor engineers to foster a culture of reliable, maintainable, high-velocity development.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customers to translate requirements into pragmatic solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and scaling mission-critical software, with experience architecting products and systems from the ground up.
- Production experience across modern web frontends (React/Next.js or equivalent) and backend services (Python and/or Node.js), including API design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience operating systems like Postgres, Redis, and workflow/message systems (Temporal, SQS, Kafka).
- Familiarity with vector databases or LLM serving infrastructure is ideal.
- Experience building AI-powered features, including LLM integration, retrieval, or agents.
- Practical experience building within SOC 2 (or similar) compliance programs.
- Ability to own systems end-to-end, iterate rapidly, and deliver production-ready solutions.
- Passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems and iterating toward clear goals.
