Extend is building a modern document processing platform reimagined with LLMs, aiming to transform how the world works with unstructured data. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building the core platform that companies use to configure, test, and deploy document processing. We are looking for exceptional engineers who are passionate about crafting intuitive product experiences, focusing on details, and operating with high agency. This role offers the opportunity to tackle novel problems at the intersection of LLMs, complex data processing, and human-AI interfaces, with significant impact on mission-critical data processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain durable, scalable systems capable of processing millions of data points per month.
- Design and implement human-AI interfaces for document processing design and understanding.
- Take ownership of product and engineering areas and build relationships with customers.
- Work directly with leadership to help build out the team.
Requirements
- Strong foundational understanding of computer science principles.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Enthusiasm for building high-quality, user-facing products and working across the stack.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and work independently.
- Interest in AI/ML technologies and building products powered by LLMs.
