Extend is building a modern document processing cloud to transform how the world works with unstructured data. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for building state-of-the-art document processing infrastructure that impacts millions of documents processed monthly. We seek creative engineers who stay current with AI research, prioritize real-world customer impact over pure theory, and are passionate about using AI to solve significant business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Train and deploy state-of-the-art vision models for document processing.
- Design novel LLM techniques to expand the complexity of use cases and data streams.
- Monitor production models, identify performance issues, and conduct experiments to resolve them.
- Take ownership of product and engineering areas, engaging directly with customers.
- Collaborate with the CEO, CTO, and founding members to build out the team.
