Scale AI is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of agentic workflows for a national security customer. This role involves owning or supporting a large account plan, managing day-to-day customer execution, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of program leadership, customer relationship building, technical fluency, and contract awareness, thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous, and mission-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships from executive to end-user levels.
  • Collaborate with customers to scope agentic workflow use cases for the engineering team.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve and surpass customer AI/ML objectives.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and operator pain points to ensure customer success.
  • Oversee the onboarding and successful implementation of customer accounts.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder management or a customer-facing role delivering enterprise-scale applications/solutions.
  • Proven track record of structured, analytics-driven problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to be onsite with customers 4+ days per week in the Suffolk, VA area with occasional travel.
  • Technical background (education or professional experience in computer science, economics, statistics, engineering).
  • Proven track record in B2B client-facing roles and expanding client relationships.
  • Prior experience owning the technical implementation of solutions for the government.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, potentially in a customer-facing technical program management role.
  • Prior experience at an API technology company and/or managing technical customers using an API.
  • Technical degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
  • Domain expertise in a relevant field (e.g., modeling and simulation, joint planning processes, intelligence workflows).
