Distyl AI is seeking a senior Enterprise AI Architect to act as a long-term technical partner for its strategic Fortune 500 customers. This role involves building trust with C-suite and technical leaders, identifying AI's business value, shaping solutions with clients, and maintaining accountability for the technical relationship post-signature. You will work closely with Go-to-Market, Product, and Forward-Deployed Engineering teams, leading the technical arc of an account from initial conversations through architecture, feasibility, and Statement of Work (SOW) development. For qualified pursuits, you will collaborate with forward-deployed engineers to implement solutions, remaining involved in architecture reviews, steering moments, and expansion opportunities after the initial close.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical counterpart for strategic accounts, building trust with CIO/CTO-level leaders and business executives.
- Help customers identify where AI can materially change operations and shape an ambitious but deliverable technical vision.
- Lead joint solution architecture with customer teams, applying Distyl’s platform to real enterprise systems.
- Use prototypes and demos to validate key assumptions and own the technical content of the SOW.
- Assess opportunity suitability for AI, evaluate data, systems, security, integration, and organizational constraints.
- Make the call on technical feasibility before Distyl commits to scope.
- Translate recurring needs, architecture patterns, and learnings into reusable technical assets and product feedback.
- Influence Distyl’s platform, product, and engineering roadmap based on customer insights.
- Stay engaged through architecture reviews, executive steering, major tradeoffs, risk escalations, and expansion opportunities.
- Empower the delivery lead to own execution while maintaining technical oversight.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, enterprise architecture, forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, or similar roles with substantial customer-facing responsibility.
- Hands-on production delivery experience designing, building, and shipping Enterprise-grade Agentic AI/ML systems.
- Ability to reason credibly about implementation tradeoffs, reliability, integration, scale, security, and operating constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior technical advisor to executives, build trust, shape ambiguous problems, and influence decisions.
- Proven ownership of complex enterprise solution architecture and scope, including writing technical SOW content.
- Ability to align customer teams, GTM, and delivery around buildable solutions.
- Effectively collaborate with FDE/Delivery/Product & Strategy teams, ensuring timely engagement and continuity.
- Strong working knowledge of APIs, integrations, cloud and enterprise architecture, data flows, security considerations, and modern AI systems.
- Coding fluency for prototyping, system inspection, and deep engagement with engineers.
- Deep domain expertise in one or more enterprise areas such as customer support, voice, MarTech, Cybersecurity, IAM, or Document processing.
- Ability to travel 25% and meet onsite with customer teams.
- Ability to work from our New York or San Francisco office Tuesday–Thursday.
