The Enterprise ML team is at the forefront of the AI revolution, collaborating with customers to solve significant business challenges and develop advanced AI systems. This role involves leading a team of research scientists and engineers, shaping the research agenda, and overseeing the entire development lifecycle from prototyping to deployment. The ideal candidate is a leader comfortable with ambiguity, possessing a deep understanding of generative AI capabilities and limitations, and driven to transform research into robust, production-ready systems. You will mentor and grow a team, define a multi-year research roadmap, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of research scientists and engineers focused on GenAI research.
- Define and drive a multi-year research roadmap, including setting milestones and allocating resources.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and client-facing teams.
- Communicate research findings through publications, conference presentations, and open-source contributions.
- Foster an inclusive and high-performing team culture, providing growth opportunities and attracting talent.
- Stay connected to the research community to understand and influence major trends.
- Drive impactful results in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on research experience in machine learning, deep learning, generative models, or related domains (PhD or equivalent preferred).
- Strong track record of research excellence with publications in top-tier ML/AI venues.
- Proven experience in achieving major research impacts in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading or managing research teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executives and partners.
