About the job
Scale is seeking a Defense Deployment Strategist to lead the end-to-end effort of deploying and scaling Agentic AI capabilities within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role is crucial for integrating AI into critical intelligence workflows, providing a strategic edge to the U.S. and its allies. You will be the primary point of contact at the intersection of AI and national intelligence, responsible for capturing opportunities, driving deployment, and fostering growth within these highly technical and mission-critical agencies. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with significant leadership expectations, acting as the 'CEO of the Account.'
Responsibilities
- Carry and exceed a multi-million dollar annual revenue quota across NRO and NGA, managing the entire lifecycle from requirements shaping to closing deals.
- Develop and execute deep account strategies for NRO and NGA, maintaining trusted relationships with senior government officials and understanding their modernization roadmaps.
- Leverage IC-specific acquisition vehicles (e.g., NGA BAAs, NRO OTAs, classified program vehicles) to shape proposals and architect deal structures.
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to co-design Agentic AI workflows for GEOINT and overhead intelligence, translating operational needs into technical specifications.
- Manage and negotiate teaming agreements with Tier 1 primes to ensure Scale's AI capabilities are integrated into their proposals.
- Lead the account through operational transition and delivery, ensuring successful implementation and driving renewals, expansions, and new use cases.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales, business development, or program capture within the Intelligence Community (IC), with NRO and/or NGA as primary accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully closing and implementing multi-year IC contracts exceeding $25M.
- Deep understanding of GEOINT, overhead collection, imagery exploitation, ISR data pipelines, and multi-INT fusion challenges.
- Direct experience with NGA BAAs, IC OTAs, NRO acquisition vehicles, and understanding of IC Program of Record integration and political dynamics.
- Existing, active relationships at NRO and NGA at SES-level sponsor, PEO staff, and mission-area technical lead levels.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; Full Scope Polygraph strongly preferred.
- BS/BA required; technical degree, Master's, or MBA preferred.
- Ability to be based in the National Capital Region (Springfield/Bethesda corridor preferred) with 20-30% travel and operate in classified environments.
