We are seeking a Forward Deployed Strategist to lead our most critical customer engagements, guiding them from initial discussions through successful project delivery. You will collaborate directly with executive sponsors to identify high-value use cases, define tightly scoped projects, and ensure successful outcomes in partnership with a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). Typically, you will work within a pod consisting of one Strategist and 1-2 FDEs, where you will manage the executive relationship and the overall delivery strategy. While the FDE focuses on deep production builds, you will remain hands-on at the configuration layer, managing workflows, integrations, and platform tooling, and partnering with the FDE on complex build aspects. Your role involves translating technical progress into tangible business results and driving user adoption of the implemented solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customer executive sponsors to scope projects, translating business problems into time-boxed deliverables with clear ROI.
- Lead technical discovery and architecture reviews to ensure project feasibility and identify integration/infrastructure constraints.
- Collaborate with the FDE on the technical build, owning the configuration layer (workflows, settings, integrations, platform tooling) for non-heavy custom code components.
- Own technical enablement and adoption by conducting training, building playbooks, and coaching customer teams to self-sufficiency.
- Monitor technical feasibility during delivery, adjusting scope with sponsors as needed.
- Identify and scope expansion opportunities during delivery in partnership with the account team.
- Escalate product gaps, integration issues, and customer pain points to Product and Engineering with actionable detail.
- Build reusable playbooks to enhance the capabilities of the broader FDE organization.
- Establish and maintain executive relationships, serving as the primary point of contact from kickoff to handoff.
- Communicate the vision and plan effectively to C-suite stakeholders.
- Translate between business outcomes and technical implementation for both sponsors and the build team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Deployment Strategy, technical consulting, or an Engagement Manager role with ownership of scoping and delivery in AI-production workflows.
- Strong understanding of agentic coding and LLMs, including their production behavior, failure modes, and resilient workflow design.
- Hands-on experience with platform configuration, workflows, integrations, and tooling.
- Ability to read Python/JS-TS to effectively partner with FDEs.
- Proven track record of shipping AI-native workflows beyond the prototype stage and understanding production constraints.
- Ability to quickly assess enterprise engineering organizations, identify high-leverage interventions, and scope projects for rapid value delivery.
- Executive presence to manage C-suite relationships and technical credibility to build trust with engineering leads.
- Domain depth in FSI, insurance, telecom, high-tech, healthcare/life sciences, or semiconductor is a strong plus.
