Crusoe is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist III to join their dynamic team. This critical role will directly support the successful execution of innovative data center sites, power generation projects, innovation projects, and corporate teams. The Specialist will play a vital role in sourcing and securing necessary materials, equipment, and services, utilizing expertise in procurement and contract management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of critical project components. This position is a contract-to-hire role, starting 100% remote and transitioning to fully on-site in Denver, CO, upon conversion to a permanent employee.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and analyze product and price data for contract negotiations.
- Conduct comparative analysis of vendor terms and/or price quotations.
- Manage source selection processes, including formal, informal, and vendor screening.
- Conduct multiple bid events (RFI's, RFQ's, RFP's).
- Prepare bid summaries and evaluate commercial proposals.
- Provide slide deck award recommendations to leadership.
- Locate, pre-qualify, and promote potential new suppliers.
- Manage awarded suppliers against performance KPIs quarterly.
- Negotiate and execute various agreements (Service Orders, MSAs, MPAs, Consulting Agreements, EPC contracts, etc.).
- Manage contract awards, modifications, and subcontracts.
- Author contract redlines by reviewing proposed terms and formulating counter-arguments.
- Perform contract administration and manage associated workload and documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Communicate project progress and potential challenges to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in direct procurement roles (Buyer, Capital Project Procurement, Category Manager).
- Proven experience purchasing equipment for large-scale capital projects in Data Center or Power Generation (e.g., compressor stations, gas storage facilities, mechanical/electrical equipment, construction).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience redlining commercial contracts independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
