Crusoe is seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst to be the intelligence engine of their Procurement Shared Services team. This role goes beyond simple reporting to provide actionable insights that drive cost savings, optimize working capital, and improve operational efficiency. You will play a key role in the company's digital transformation, utilizing AI-driven tools and advanced procurement platforms to automate bid analysis and supplier performance tracking. This is a 100% on-site role in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to track KPIs such as cost avoidance, contract cycle times, and payment term compliance.
- Analyze large-scale procurement datasets (e.g., Coupa, SAP) to identify trends, leakage, and opportunities for negotiation or consolidation.
- Utilize statistical modeling to forecast lead times and market price fluctuations for long-lead equipment.
- Partner with the 'AI Task Force' to implement and refine LLM-based tools for automated bid reviews and contract data extraction.
- Act as a liaison between Technical Power teams and Legal, translating data into business terms to support high-value negotiations and EPC agreements.
- Oversee data accuracy within Jira and sourcing modules, and help design data entry rules within Coupa for audit-ready project tracking.
- Support rapid-turnaround analysis on fragmented or 'dirty' datasets to address immediate business needs.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within supply chain & procurement sectors.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
- Expert-level skills in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Foundational knowledge of Python or R for data cleaning and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP/Sourcing tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP) and project management software (Jira).
- Ability to calculate complex metrics like Working Capital Impact and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Proven ability to present data-heavy findings clearly to non-technical executive stakeholders.
- Experience with Generative AI and its application in automating business workflows (bonus).
- Knowledge of the energy/utilities sector, specifically regarding high-voltage equipment sourcing (bonus).
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to identify problems and build analytical frameworks to solve them independently (bonus).
