Crusoe is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Developer Experience (DevX) team, a critical group responsible for developer tools and infrastructure that accelerate development and maintain high quality standards. This role will oversee multiple charters within DevX, focusing on the AI remote agent platform, standard agents (coding, reviewing, maintenance/upgrades), and support for coding harnesses. The Senior Manager will be instrumental in shaping technical direction, communicating strategic vision, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the long-term technical objectives of a company at the forefront of AI infrastructure and climate-aligned computing.
Responsibilities
- Own multiple charters within the Developer Experience (DevX) team, including the AI remote agent platform and associated agents.
- Support coding harnesses and other developer tools.
- Shape technical direction and communicate strategic vision for the DevX team.
- Foster a company-wide culture of engineering excellence.
- Partner with stakeholders to define the future state of software development efforts.
- Build paved paths that accelerate engineering productivity and are reliable and broadly adopted.
- Identify and automate away friction and repetitive tasks in the development process.
- Develop libraries, tools, and pre-production environments for vetting service APIs and microservice interactions.
- Unify internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows and optimize security.
- Lead efforts to establish a culture of continuous quality delivery.
- Build efficient systems and processes that multiply the impact of engineers.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading multiple team charters in DevX, including managing other managers.
- Expert ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and understand infrastructure's impact on developer productivity.
- Fluent knowledge of industry-standard AI tooling, build tooling, containerization, and open-source development frameworks.
- Demonstrated passion for building empathetic developer and operator workflows.
- Professional experience managing or developing within Kubernetes clusters and understanding container orchestration.
- Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Release Engineering, or a similar productivity-focused discipline.
- Deep understanding of automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Expertise in modern programming languages, specifically Go.
- Advanced proficiency in Git-based workflows (GitLab/GitHub).
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
