Crusoe is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Core Backend team within Cloud Customer Experience (CCX). This role is crucial for delivering a best-in-class user experience for Crusoe's AI-focused cloud platform. The Core Backend team is responsible for the foundational services that power every customer interaction, ensuring reliability and scalability. The work involves building and operating key systems like the API Gateway, Resource Management Layer, Quota Management, Notifications, and User Onboarding Flows, all while focusing on speed, reliability, and coherence as the platform grows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable services for the cloud platform's user-facing experiences.
- Own and evolve the API gateway, managing routing, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, versioning, and tenant isolation.
- Build the notification and eventing backbone for customer infrastructure status updates, ensuring delivery guarantees and preference controls.
- Evolve the quota and entitlement system into a first-class product surface with self-serve requests and transparent limits.
- Harden and automate onboarding, provisioning, and identity flows to reduce time-to-first-GPU for new customers.
- Extend the resource management layer to model and expose new infrastructure offerings efficiently.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to evaluate tools, frameworks, and customer needs for innovative solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions that enhance reliability and maintainability across the company.
- Mentor engineers, enhance hiring practices, and contribute to building a strong, inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Experience programming with modern compiled languages such as Go or Rust.
