Crusoe is seeking a Master Scheduler to establish and manage the master production schedule within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This critical role involves close collaboration with internal teams to ensure projects are initiated and completed on time, optimizing production flow and meeting customer expectations. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, improving processes, and ensuring accurate resource allocation and production forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the master production schedule for efficient plant operations across multiple manufacturing locations, detailing daily activities and forecasting 12 weeks out.
- Analyze resources, determine production rates, and crunch data to ensure accurate resource allocation for production schedules.
- Generate scheduling reports to identify material shortages, potential customer shipment issues, and labor requirements.
- Communicate the 3-week and 12-week master schedule effectively with Production Managers, Schedulers, and Project Managers, leading review meetings and providing status updates.
- Proactively identify potential workforce, materials, and shipping issues and communicate them to the leadership team.
- Continuously monitor, identify, and manage areas for improvement in the overall scheduling process.
- Help identify critical paths, resolve resource conflicts, address material availability challenges, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Interface with MRP data (Acumatica) to incorporate production rates, material availability, and project timelines into the master schedule.
- Drive cross-departmental cooperation between procurement, materials management, and production to ensure accuracy of lead times, current inventories, and warehouse levels for optimized order fulfillment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, data analysis, manufacturing, business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of demonstrable experience in production planning/scheduling.
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to consume large amounts of data and produce concise schedule reporting.
- Ability to hard code into data programs like Google Sheets using the Script application.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products (Excel/Sheets), with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Proficiency in scheduling programs such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Monday.com, or similar.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, Oracle ERP, SAP, SAGE, Infor).
- Eagerness to learn with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates professionalism and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proven manufacturing experience (ideally in metal or electrical manufacturing) with a solid understanding of material flow principles.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
- Must be able to participate in a drug and alcohol program.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
