About the job

CrewAI is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build and enhance their Agent Management Platform. This platform is the control plane for deploying, monitoring, governing, and scaling AI agents in production, enabling customers to manage complex AI infrastructure, diagnose failures, and oversee automations. The role emphasizes frontend development, creating rich and intuitive user interfaces, while also owning the necessary backend changes to deliver complete features. You will collaborate closely with design and product teams, taking ownership from problem definition to launch, and contributing to the team's technical growth through code reviews and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Build complete product workflows across various platform modules including visual editor, deployments, traces, and human review.
  • Collaborate with design and product to define customer problems, prototype solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Shape frontend architecture, focusing on component APIs, state management, data fetching, navigation, and rendering performance.
  • Ensure reliability and understandability of asynchronous workflows, including live updates, saving, validation, error handling, and retries.
  • Extend the shared design system across React and Rails to enhance consistency, accessibility, and theming.
  • Develop backend components such as Rails models, services, APIs, and background jobs.
  • Partner with runtime and infrastructure engineers on advanced platform capabilities.
  • Write comprehensive frontend and Rails tests, perform browser verification, and implement instrumentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Contribute to team improvement through technical decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and establishing reusable patterns.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of independently delivering substantial full-stack product features, with significant frontend engineering expertise.
  • Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, including component design, complex state management, asynchronous operations, and performance optimization.
  • Experience shipping rich, interactive products like editors, workflow builders, developer tools, or complex data applications.
  • Strong product and interaction judgment, with the ability to simplify technical workflows.
  • Practical knowledge of accessibility, including semantic interfaces, keyboard navigation, focus management, and accessible component behavior.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently ship backend changes, including data models, APIs, services, and background jobs.
  • Experience with Rails or a comparable framework; Rails experience is preferred.
  • Pragmatic judgment for improving existing codebases, knowing when to reuse, refactor, or introduce new abstractions.
  • Clear communication skills to align engineering, product, and design teams.
  • Ownership of production outcomes and curiosity about AI agents, execution traces, and human review workflows.
