CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on architecting and expanding CoreWeave's IAM strategy to secure its high-performance cloud infrastructure. The engineer will balance rapid execution with a long-term technical vision to meet the demands of global enterprise customers, designing and extending a platform that secures the company's rapidly expanding cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical strategy and vision for IAM.
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems for authentication and authorization.
- Architect customer-facing identity lifecycle management and IdP integration (SAML/OIDC).
- Champion security best practices, including code quality, design reviews, and threat modeling.
- Improve team operational maturity through SLO definition, observability, and automation.
- Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Influence cross-functional alignment on critical security initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of IAM domain expertise with OIDC, OAuth2.0, SAML, and JWT.
- Proven experience leading large, cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise security, compliance (SOC2, HIPAA), and governance needs.
- Excellent communication skills for translating requirements and articulating trade-offs.
- Expert-level debugging skills in distributed environments.
- Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or React.
