About the job
As an AI engineer on the CRAFT team, you will bring research into production and build products across our roadmap, including tools for agent evaluation and continuous improvement. You’ll own features from the user experience through backend services and model integrations. You’ll turn research in post-training and model evaluation into products that help customers understand and improve their models. We’re looking for strong product instincts to translate research methods into intuitive workflows and delightful user experiences. You’ll work closely with researchers and customers to define problems, make practical tradeoffs, and deliver products in an evolving space. CRAFT is a small team with significant autonomy over our roadmap and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Bring research into production and build products across the roadmap.
- Develop tools for agent evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Own features from user experience through backend services and model integrations.
- Translate research in post-training and model evaluation into products.
- Define problems, make practical tradeoffs, and deliver products.
- Define long-term architecture for systems at global scale.
- Evolve orchestration for next-generation AI.
- Provide mentorship, architecture, and operational excellence across teams.
- Solve problems balancing cost, performance, and reliability in high-demand environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with experience building and shipping production applications.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, testing, debugging, and production operations.
- Strong product judgment and ability to work through ambiguous requirements, prioritize effectively, and deliver usable solutions.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications or AI agents, including tool use and multi-step workflows.
