You will contribute to the design and development of our platform's surface area, including the dashboard, insights, and integrations. This role requires applying product sensibilities to "why" and "what" we build, not just "how," and involves working directly with customers to understand their needs. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Convex's platforms, dashboard UI, integrations, and other services.
- Collaborate directly with customers and company leadership to define feature roadmaps.
- Design and build UIs for Convex Backend Components.
- Enhance Convex's dashboard, CLI, and MCP for AI agents.
- Upgrade Convex's role-based access control system for finer-grained permissions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong UX sensibilities and enthusiasm for building intuitive interfaces.
- Ability to conceptualize customer needs and business requirements.
- Experience or enthusiasm for scaling in a high-growth startup environment.
- Ability to write high-quality code across the full stack.
- Appreciation for excellence and a lifetime of dedication to craft.
- Deep thinking about problem-solving and long-term implications of technical choices.
- Obsession with craft, sweating details, and taking pride in achieving the final 10%.
- Value simplicity and pragmatism in system design and problem-solving.
