Cohere is seeking a Solutions Architect for its Public Sector business, offering significant autonomy in technical pre-sales and post-sales activities. This role is crucial for growing Cohere's presence in the public sector and requires a deep understanding of customer challenges to map them to Cohere's AI solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and driving the adoption of Cohere products. This position demands a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including building customer Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and translating business objectives into technical solutions. You will also serve as the voice of the customer, liaising with the product team, providing guidance on best practices, and identifying areas for platform improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and map them to Cohere solutions.
- Act as the trusted technical advisor and own the technical relationship with stakeholders.
- Increase the adoption of Cohere products both internally and externally.
- Gather customer insights and feedback to shape future product development.
- Build customer Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to showcase platform business value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and liaison between customers and the product team.
- Provide guidance on best practices for using Cohere products.
- Identify areas for improvement within the platform.
- Cultivate technical champions within customer organizations to drive adoption and gather feedback.
- Lead technical discussions on customer calls.
- Conduct deep dives on customer problems and Cohere technology.
- Design novel enterprise solutions using NLP technology.
- Facilitate customer evaluations and PoCs.
- Develop and document processes to enable the solutions architect team to scale.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure offerings meet customer needs.
- Work with partners to develop strategies for enabling and accelerating their customers.
Requirements
- Must possess a Security Clearance.
- 5+ years of public sector customer-facing technical pre/post sales Solutions Architect experience.
- 2+ years architecting or deploying NLP/AI/LLM solutions.
- Passion for Generative AI and understanding of LLM/AI technology strengths and weaknesses.
- Proficient in Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both executive and technical audiences.
- High tolerance for ambiguity.
- Ability to identify and implement high-impact processes in unstructured environments.
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (preferred).
- Experience with networking (firewalls, DNS, cert management) (preferred).
- Familiarity with authentication protocols/frameworks (SAML, OAuth) (preferred).
