Cohere is seeking a Software Engineer, Integrations to join the Data Abstractions & Tools team for its North AI workspace platform. This role is crucial for enabling enterprises to securely deploy AI by connecting AI agents with workplace tools and applications. You will own the end-to-end integration pipeline, focusing on adding new integrations, supporting other engineers, and ensuring the reliability and performance of these connections through testing and evaluation. This is an opportunity to contribute to the widespread adoption of AI by building and maintaining the systems that allow users to bring their data and tools into the platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain new integrations (tools) on the North agentic platform.
- Own the entire integration pipeline, from design to ongoing maintenance.
- Assist other engineers in adding their own integrations and improve team processes.
- Develop evaluations and tests to ensure integration functionality and detect regressions.
- Tune tool descriptions to enhance performance based on feedback and evaluations.
- Actively use AI in your work while ensuring the quality and reliability of shipped code.
Requirements
- Shipped production code and experience building integrations with external APIs.
- Experience evaluating agentic systems, or familiarity with evals and prompt engineering.
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
- High agency, with the ability to learn quickly and drive change independently.
- Proven track record of owning projects end-to-end and focusing on quality.
- Enjoyment in helping other engineers succeed.
