This role spans managed services, APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling, focusing on creating seamless and reliable experiences for users. You will own Cohere's managed service offerings, defining product thinking around deployment models, data residency, and operational controls. Additionally, you will shape the roadmap for APIs and SDKs, ensuring they are stable, well-documented, and easy to use, and oversee developer experience surfaces like the API console, credential management, and observability tools.
Responsibilities
- Drive the roadmap for managed services, APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling, balancing immediate customer needs with long-term platform strategy.
- Translate model and infrastructure capabilities into user-friendly product surfaces for developers and enterprise operators.
- Gather customer and developer feedback to understand integration challenges and identify unmet needs.
- Define and track key metrics for platform health and developer experience.
- Collaborate with engineering, research, technical writing, and developer relations teams to deliver platform improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on developer-facing or platform-layer products (APIs, SDKs, developer tools, technical infrastructure).
- Strong technical understanding of API design and SDK development, including versioning, backward compatibility, and developer experience best practices.
- Proven ability to treat infrastructure as a product and translate system capabilities into customer-facing features.
- Experience building or managing developer tooling surfaces like consoles, dashboards, or observability tools.
- Data-driven approach to defining success metrics, instrumentation, and decision-making.
- Excellent collaboration skills across engineering, design, infrastructure, and go-to-market teams.
- Strong execution orientation with a focus on rapid shipping and iteration.
- Demonstrated ownership across the entire product lifecycle, from conception to deprecation.
