Cohere is seeking a Member of Technical Staff focused on Sovereign AI to design, build, and scale agentic AI systems for critical use cases. This role involves researching, implementing, and experimenting with novel ideas on supercompute and data infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on executing across the full AI stack to ship products serving the public interest. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with leading researchers and contribute to both production code and cutting-edge research, leveraging extensive compute resources and talent.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale agentic AI systems for mission-critical use cases.
- Research, implement, and experiment with ideas on supercompute and data infrastructure.
- Execute across the full AI stack and ship products for public interest.
- Contribute to writing production code and conducting research.
Requirements
- Canadian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
- Extremely strong software engineering skills.
- Proficiency in Python and related ML frameworks.
- Experience training, evaluating, and using LLMs.
- Experience with large-scale distributed (GPU) LLM training strategies.
- Publication at top-tier AI venues is a bonus.
