Cohere is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Deployment Engineering team in the Middle East. This role requires a technically sharp, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is focused on impact. You will manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions with Cohere's North platform, focusing on technical excellence and team leadership. The position involves solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors like finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions in on-premises environments.
- Own customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape AI delivery to enterprises.
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders at client organizations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation for agentic solutions.
- Define and implement scalable processes for agent development and deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership.
- Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with a focus on agentic applications.
- High agency and a doer mentality, with the ability to execute in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent English communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.
