Cloudflare is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager for Iberia & Italy to lead and coach a team of Solutions Engineers. This role involves collaborating with clients from initial ideation to production planning, acting as a technical expert and advisor. The manager will be responsible for setting team cadence, fostering communication, collaboration, and culture, and supporting individual team member development. Key responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, enablement, and ensuring the technical pre-sales performance of the team. The manager will also work closely with cross-functional teams like Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to drive customer success and advise on scalable solutions. As Cloudflare expands its AI offerings, the team will increasingly support customers evaluating AI-first architectures, including AI Gateway, LLMs via Workers AI, and RAG stacks with Vectorize and R2. Candidates with experience in AI/ML infrastructure, model serving, or AI pipeline security are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Report on individual SE strengths and weaknesses and support performance management.
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with team members.
- Act as a point of escalation for team issues and escalate unresolved problems.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
- Coach team members on delivering AI/ML-focused demos, POCs, and architectural reviews.
- Stay current on AI industry developments and translate trends into enablement for the SE team.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to relay regional AI customer feedback and evangelize new AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar client-facing technical role.
- Experience in managing or leading a technical team.
- Experience in AI/ML infrastructure, model serving, or security for AI pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI-first architectures, AI Gateway, LLMs via Workers AI, and RAG stacks with Vectorize and R2.
- Ability to coach team members on technical disciplines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
