About the job
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Agentic Commerce team, focusing on building the core systems, protocols, and customer-facing tools that power machine-to-machine payments, metering, and monetization. In this role, you will design and ship scalable software across edge infrastructure, transaction engines, protocol layers, and developer tooling. You will work on cutting-edge standards, cryptographic authentication, and commerce controls that enable businesses to define pricing terms, authenticate agents, verify outcomes, and manage agent-generated revenue streams.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship production-ready, low-latency services for autonomous agents using emerging payment standards (x402, WBA, ACP, UCP).
- Build high-precision systems for usage metering, pricing definition, outcome verification, and value attribution for agentic workflows.
- Develop secure protocols and capabilities for authenticating and authorizing agents across host-agnostic endpoints.
- Create APIs for businesses to gain granular visibility, telemetry, and control over agent-generated revenue, billing, and settlement.
- Build resilient bridges between fiat commerce rails, digital wallets, and decentralized payment protocols for Internet-scale micropayments.
- Write clean, secure, well-tested code, ensuring strict financial precision, high reliability, security, and low-latency performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, product managers, and stakeholders to bring capabilities from concept to production.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience building and operating reliable, high-throughput, low-latency production services.
- Solid understanding of HTTP, APIs, payment protocols/rails, web security, or cryptographic authorization.
- Hands-on experience or deep interest in payment systems, usage metering, or billing engines.
