As a Senior Solutions Engineer Specialist, you will be a pivotal technical expert and strategic advisor, focusing on the Cloudflare One product suite. You will partner with our sales team and engage directly with our customers to architect and demonstrate how our SASE platform can solve their unique security, performance, and reliability needs. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding prospects through complex technical evaluations, ensuring they have the confidence to adopt Cloudflare as a core component of their IT and security infrastructure. This role requires a blend of deep technical curiosity, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping customers transform their network and security architecture. Candidates are expected to actively use AI tools in their day-to-day life for research, preparation, automation, or customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, architecting optimal solutions using the Cloudflare One product suite.
- Develop expertise in AI-era security challenges, including enterprise AI tool governance, Shadow AI visibility, data loss prevention for AI applications, MCP server access controls, and Agentic AI Governance.
- Guide prospects through solution design and proof-of-value stages, demonstrating Cloudflare One portfolio capabilities.
- Collaborate with sales partners to achieve pipeline generation and revenue goals.
- Analyze customer IT landscapes and security requirements to develop robust architectures.
- Articulate the benefits and technical differentiators of the Cloudflare One product portfolio.
- Enhance customer retention by communicating product gaps or feature requests to internal teams.
- Collaborate with Product Teams by sharing customer insights, trends, and product gaps to shape the product suite and roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Technical Sales, Solutions/Systems Engineering).
- Active adoption and use of AI tools in professional workflows.
- Knowledge of AI security concepts relevant to enterprise customers (securing employee AI tool usage, governing AI application access, understanding data leakage risks from generative AI).
- Demonstrated experience presenting technical solutions and communicating network and security transformation value to senior executives.
- Deep understanding of the modern cybersecurity landscape, including common threats and mitigation strategies.
- Fundamental knowledge of customer network and application architectures.
