Cloudflare is seeking builders who can identify and solve problems with the latest tools, leveraging AI to improve the internet. As a Senior Customer Engineer, you will be a trusted technical advisor and architect for enterprise clients, bridging the gap between technical strategy and business value. You will guide customers through pre-sales validation, onboarding, deployment, and lifecycle expansion, operating as a quota-carrying technologist. Your role involves using AI-augmented workflows to focus on high-value architectural design and driving measurable business outcomes throughout the customer journey.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, capture business requirements, and map customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures.
- Define, scope, and create technical evaluation plans for Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Technical Validations.
- Deliver tailored technical presentations, architectural diagrams, and demonstrations.
- Address complex technical objections, security compliance questions, and edge-case architectural requirements.
- Oversee technical onboarding and implementation, serving as the primary executive and engineering contact for the customer.
- Design migration and onboarding blueprints tailored to the customer’s environment.
- Act as the lead consultant for customer engineering teams, guiding them through configuration best practices.
- Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value and resolve integration bottlenecks.
- Carry a variable quota tied to commercial accountability and expansion.
Requirements
- Experience with DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, Network Security, and Workers.
- Experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering roles.
- Ability to design and present technical solutions.
- Experience with customer onboarding and migration strategies.
- Familiarity with AI-augmented workflows.
